Finally, I am caught up with the Civil War blocks that Barbara Brackman is so generously sharing with all of us bloggers. Richmond, the 6th block, proved to be quite challenging, as it does not lend itself to an 8" block. But with a little help from others who are having the same problems, I was able to get it done. I trimmed the 4-patch to 2 3/8" and was able to come up with a 3 1/8" block. If you are having trouble with this block, go to Flicker on Barbara's website. There is a lot of great discussion going on and wonderful pictures of the blocks.
Now I am ready to go do something mindless!

Your KT block is one the prettiest I've seen. It must be the light background that really makes it pop.
I'm so behind! I've only done the first three. Tomorrow that's on my to-do list. :) blessings, marlene
Your blocks look great Sharon! I need to get caught up too. :-/ Have a happy week!
Those blocks are great! Love the fabrics.
I've been following along but haven't made any of them yet. there are so many quilt alongs, it's hard to keep up!
Great job! I recognize some of JM's Civil War Chronicles fabrics. Richmond was easier for me since I am doing 6" blocks, but that size will present other problems later. I just feel it.
Love the blocks and the fabrics. Maybe someday when I retire I will find the time to join some of these groups.
Your blocks look awesome!
great blocks and love the fabric.
I found your blog today, and was tickled by how much we have in common. When I watch my grandchildren in the summer, we call my house "Camp Grandma." I did Lori's latest quiltalong, and am doing Barbara Brackman's blocks as well. And my mom lives in Lee's Summit!
SO pretty - I'm loving all of them! This is going to be a really pretty quilt!
Your blocks are lookin' good! I like everybody elses' fabric choices better than mine. Isn't it great to be caught up?
