Can you tell what is on my mind? Summer breezes! I finished quilting this fresh, little quilt last week. I had a box of Robin Pandolph fat quarters, just waiting for the right quilt to inspire me to use them. When I saw this in Kim's book, Scrap-Basket Surprises....I knew I needed to make this one!
And I finished hand-quilting my little "Garden Path" quilt! This is from Lori Smith's wonderful book, Fat Quarter Quilting.
Have any of you made a weighted blanket? My daughter has requested one for my 6 year old grandson. I did see the article in American Patchwork and Quilting, and downloaded the free pattern. Any tips any of you might have? Also...we are heading to Nashville, Tennessee for a few days...any good quilt shops I should look for in the area?
Hope the sun is shining in your neighborhood! Have not seen it for several days here!!!

Your projects are from two of my favorite books. The Robin Pandolph FQs are perfect for your "Summer Breezes," and the bright Lori Smith project looks like it would have been fun to make. I don't do applique very often, but I've marked that project to try some day.
Sorry -- I'm no help re: a weighted blanket.
Nothing better than a Lori Smith small quilt!! Love yours.

Your quilts are fantastic and yes, so springy!
I've never heard of a weighted blanket.
Don't you just love Robin Pandolph fabric? It does sing Spring or Summer, that is for sure...love the quilt. Have fun in TN. We were in Pigeon Forge area in 2004, but don't remember any quilt shops around there.
Just the same Summer Breeze sounds so wonderful right about now!
Both quilts are lovely.
Two darling quilts. Have a fun time in Nashville.
Lovely quilts! Especially the Summer Breeze - I might have to find that pattern!
Your Summer Breeze quilt is gorgeous, I had my eye on making that one as well. I'm a Lori Smith fan too, your little quilt is another awesome one.
Love all your quilts, especially the summer breeze. Beautiful.
