Children aren't supposed to die. It breaks all the rules of nature. You get old and you die. The death of a parent is a death of the past, the death of a spouse is the death of the present, and the death of a child is the death of the future.
I am so very sad....one of my dearest friends are having to deal with the death of their sweet little 6 year old grand-daughter.(from the flu!!!)
How does one deal with this, when it is so beyond our comprehension and understanding? I know it will be a test of their faith and even sanity. I pray that they will talk about their grief...they will allow themselves to cry and to be patient with their feelings. One thing I have learned, it's not that you won't ever be happy again, it's just that you will never be the same again.
My prayers and love to the Dew family.

What kind of cookie are you?
You Are a Chocolate Chip Cookie |
Traditional and conservative, most people find you comforting. You're friendly and easy to get to know. This makes you very popular - without even trying! |

Connectivity...
I think we are becoming more disconnected to those around us. Why? Today I went to the new Walmart, and I really do not like to go to Walmart, but I needed to get my flat tire fixed. While I waited, I decided to walk around and see what the new store was like. I remembered why I avoid Walmart like the plague! People are so into their little worlds....taking up isle space while talking on a cell phone, little children darting across the isles, people talking very loudly to one another, and sometimes saying things that are so rude to the person they are with or to the sales person. So I stop and think....what do I personally do that might cause others to feel the way I am feeling right now? Are we so "into" ourselves that we don't see how our actions are affecting everyone around us?
Today we helped Mom celebrate her birthday by going to the Ameristar for dinner. The buffet is so yummy.....but oh my tummy!
Caleb and I had a "slumber party" last night while his mommy and daddy went on a date. And of course we had a great evening! It would have been even more wonderful if Jordyn could have been with us. One of these days we will have another slumber party and maybe Jordyn will come too!
Good news came in my email today....Luci Mareno asked me to be on her Creative Team!
Yeah! Cannot wait to get started. She has such beautiful designs!

Where has my mojo gone????
It has been a whole month since I last blogged.....I guess my best excuse is that the days are just not long enough!!!
My creative mojo seems to have left me....don't know where it went...don't know where to look for it....but I am sure it will come back someday! I went to a scrapbook crop with my scrappy friends, Pam, Carolyn and Michelle on Saturday. Absolutely no creativity in my head! I think part of it was that I was in such a funk from the bad dream I had the night before. The dream started out great....Matt won 2 million dollars in the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes. Then I dreamed that a bunch of guys beat him and he died. Every time I would wake up and go back to sleep, I would dream it again! I know why I dreamed it...I am worried about him. /div>
My yoga practice is going better....for the first time ever....I was able to relax my neck and shoulders in some poses that have previously been very difficult for me! that means that I am becoming more mindful.
When Mary and Richard ask Caleb for a kiss, he now tells them "No" or "I am saving them for Gramma." That's my boy!!!!
