We all have those sleepless nights, so I decided to start on my small quilt challenge for May. As I was chain-stitching the four-patches, I ran out of thread....but did not realize it until there was a little pile of squares sitting there....unstitched! And I thought I was making such good use of a sleeples night!
I think this is going to be a fun little quilt, especially since I love stars.

Boy, that's when you wish you had one of those fancy sewing machines that would give you a warning when you out of bobbin! I have done that very thing, though, as a matter of fact, Sunday night. I sure like your little star, though, what a sweet project!
:-}pokey
Oh, how I hate when that happens!!
Your Star block is great...love the fabrics....I think our sewing machines need a little bell...warning us..." no thread"!
:) Carolyn
love the block, sorry you are having a sleepness night I also hate when you run out of thread ugh
I just purchased that book. I am anxious for summer to I can start one. I can relate to both the sleepless nights and the running out of thread! I hope today will be better.
Still more fun than tossing and turning in bed. Still hoping to make this May project. Maybe my problem is that I sleep too much and no productivity.
I hate those sleepless nights and should just get up and sew like you...but then I think how tired I'll be the next day. I have a machine that tells me low bobbin however it quit working after I took machine in for good cleaning, I swear he broke it so I don't want to go back. Now I'm back to guessing and trying to listen for empty bobbin.
As if a sleepless night wasn't bad enough!
This is going to be a great little quilt. I love that pattern!
Don't you HATE it when that happens? My old sewing machine used to have a flashing light to alert me when the thread got low - sure do miss that feature! LOL
Oh that happens to me sometimes too. My machine is supposed to beep when the bobbin is low but it doesn't work anymore. A little frustrating especially on a sleepless night! Those little stars are darling and what a great way to use up scraps.
Every woman understands those sleepless nights. I am also sewing the monthly quilting projects using Kathleen Tracy's books. I was on a border crossing bus trip recently and one of the shops was Quilter's Station in Lee's Summit. Beautiful shop that has everything and in your neighborhood. How lucky are you.
I got a chuckle out of this, but I sure don't laugh when it happens to me! Karmen
I think that has happened to all of us at one time or another! love star blocks too!
keep going can't wait to see your version
