Out in blogland, lots of Civil War quilts are being finished. They are wonderful to look at...I admire those of you that have been able to keep up. I am still sewing away, and I do have more than half the blocks done.
And since I do not have a recent "finish" to show, I will show you some oldies but goodies. This is the corner of my living room...my reading chair. I love this tall ladder I found in Canton, Texas at the flea market..it had to come home with me to hang quilts on! Fortunately, my ceiling is tall enough!
Better get back to sewing, maybe I will get a little handwork done before bedtime.

What a delightful corner to sit and read. Looks comfy and surrounded by beautiful quilts!
I only got a third of them done. Once I got behind, I could never get the enthusiasm to start again. I will cheer you on though!!
Stumbled upon your blog today somehow. I am always browsing the Internet. I admire you for following Brackman's blog and making a Civil War top. Maybe when my Quilt Shed gets done and I can get to my sewing machine again? Well, I won't hold my breath. I think I love research and writing too much though I have begun to do some applique again because I can carry it with me when I travel. Please do stop by and see my quilt history blogs. Everyone who writes a quilting blog today is adding to Quilt History! Just google for starters. But there is a lot more than that to explore! Hope you make lots more quilts in the New Year! Karen A.
Your new blocks are so nice, you can imagine how great that quilt will display there with your others!
:-}pokey
The pillow with the saltbox house on it makes my heart sing. Good design and well done.
