Churn dashes and nine patches...oh my!

All In a Row

Now that I have the floors swept and mopped, I can play in my sewing room!  This is a quilt I started at a quilt retreat last fall, it is from Kim Diehl's book "Simple Comforts".  I believe I am a Jo Morton fabric addict, can't help it!  Love all fabric that is reproduction!  Hopefully, I will get all 25 blocks made, then run to the Quilters Station and find some fabric for the sashing and the border.

Last year, I started keeping a "journal of encouragement"...for myself.  Some days are just harder than others...can't figure it out.  Must be the darn hormones!!!  So I will leave you with this...just in case there is a day that just doesn't feel "right" for no good reason at all.

Wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving.

I am a big Kim Diehl fan and there is nothing better than JM fabrics to do her projects in. This one is going to be stunning.

I have lots of smaller pieces of Jo Morton fabrics. I would love to have tons of it.

I have had my mind set on making the same Kim Diehl quilt somewhere along the line.

I'm really impressed that you sweep and mop BEFORE you do your sewing - you have much more willpower than I do! LOL Love this quilt pattern and the yummy fabrics that you're using.
