Free-motion....

I had the afternoon off, and I was able to get started quilting on my latest quilt.  I did a stipple over all of the blocks and in the borders, I am doing a free-motion feather design.  Doing the free-motion design in the border is a first for me...it is going much better than I had thought.  It should get easier the more I practice.  The other day, I purchased these nifty little gloves called "Machingers".  They really do help grasp the fabric, and are very comfortable.

I also use gloves, I bought in the garden dept..They are very sticky and really work good. Also they are pink.. I heard about them from another blogger.. I have never tried the feather, it looks really hard keeping them all even..

Yes, yes, yes! I tried all kinds of quilting gloves, finger tips, etc. and the ones that work the very best for me are the Machingers! I can even thread the sewing machine needle with them on. Great invention!

Love this quilt. Don't forget to show it when you're done quilting, please.

Quilting gloves or not...I cannot machine quilt for the life of me! I'm a total spaz. Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting on my blog. Love yours!
